Building efficient charging infrastructure for accelerating electric vehicles adoption
Education
EV Intenders and Considerers are concerned about charging, but they need not be. Respondents are most concerned about charging while away from home. In reality, "range anxiety" is one of the most typical reasons why considerers continue to consider but do not intend. However, range is not an issue. In reality, the average daily distance driven is less than 100 miles - 97 miles to be exact - placing it well within the range of today's EVs. This requirement is readily met by home charging, which 74% of EV owners use the majority of the time.
The research, which shows that EV owners worry the least about range across all three respondent groups, reinforces the premise that range anxiety is not a concern. Range, with the exception of long-distance or cross-country travel, should not be considered a concern.
What exactly is Power Snacking?
EV can nibble in the same way that they do during the day to restore their energy. Power Snacking refers to EV's ability to refill its power supply every time they’re parked - at home, workplace, restaurant, or retail. Each snack increases the range of EV, so range anxiety is no longer an issue. There's no need to be concerned about safety owing to poor illumination or dangerous surroundings. And there's no question about whether the plug works or not. There is no vandalism, no upkeep, and no ugly charging stations along the street or in the parking lot with wireless charging pads hidden beneath.
Better charging choices that make life easier.
It's one thing to consider wireless charging, but how many buyers would be interested in buying a new EV if wireless charging was available? The availability of wireless charging alternatives considerably boosts the chance of all those polled purchasing an EV. Everyone agrees that it simplifies and simplifies billing. It's also more secure, dependable, and accessible.
Why is there so much interest in wireless charging?
With wireless charging becoming more common and most new vehicles being offered with a wireless charging vehicle assembly (depending on buyer desire), users will no longer have to worry about stolen chargers, forgetting to plug in, or even the hassle: they just park and charge. Remember when mobile phones were new and there was need to distinguish between them and house phones (land lines)? Kids nowadays don't even consider their phones to be 'cell' phones; they're just phones. The same will be true for charging.
Experience
EV owners adore their vehicles. They are the finest industry marketing, and the more EVs there are, the more non-EV owners will switch to electric vehicles. As the EV community expands and discusses its experiences, it will attract others.
Car owners WANT wireless charging, not just the notion. In fact, 81% are extremely to very interested in it. This figure jumps to 96% among EV owners and 86% among Intenders. In other words, almost everyone who has – or plans to buy – an electric vehicle is interested in wireless charging.
